A disorganized work environment means one thing above all: wasted time. Searching for tools and materials is not an effective way to work. Rosenberger, one of the world’s leading suppliers of high-frequency electric products, realized this. To reduce the wasted time, they commissioned an e-learning module. The goal: All 1,600 employees at the company headquarters in Bavaria were to be motivated to follow a Japanese concept for an orderly workplace, the 5S method.
For someone to change their behavior, they have to be clearly shown the personal benefits to them. The best way to achieve that in e-learning is through interactions! Then learners can experiment for themselves and discover the connections. That’s why we decided to use a combination of an explainer video and interactions – short, concise, and fun. The story speaks to both new and longstanding employees, making it relatable for a broad group of people.
“The employees responded very positively to the e-learning module and boosted awareness of tidiness in the workplace. That’s demonstrated on our intranet, where all employees have a chance to document 5S-related measures and projects where all colleagues can see them. The number of project sheets created rose sharply when the training was introduced. The collaboration with simpleshow was to our full satisfaction. They flexibly accommodated individual requests. Timelines were always followed, and we worked with friendly and competent contacts.”
